Assemblyman Roger Niello has led a bi-partisan group of legislators to send a letter
to the California Air Resources Board (CARB) requesting a temporary
suspension of on and off-road diesel regulations that have taken effect
within the last year. Assemblyman Dan Logue introduced AB118, legislation to repeal AB32. Although that legislation failed, he now leads an effort to allow the voters a chance to have their say.
His initiative, if successfully placed on the ballot in 2010 will
suspend AB32 until the jobless rate falls below 4.5% for four
consecutive quarters.
