Assembly Member Mary Hayashi 22320 Foothill Boulevard Suite 540 Hayward, CA 94541 Subject: CARB Dear Assembly Member Hayashi My name is Richard Mitobe and I am a citizen concerned with the rogue state agency known as the California Air Resources Board. While I may not be of age to vote, I will be in a few more months. KILLCARB.ORG is a website made popular by Dr. Bill Wattenburg on his radio program heard Saturday and Sunday from 10pm to 1 am on KGO in San Francisco. Dr. Wattenburg is asking his listeners to contact their representatives and demand legislation to put an end to the California Air Resources Board. This web site will track progress and publish the replies that come back from Senators and Assembly Members. You are my Representative and I want the Board abolished. Considering the number of blunders CARB has made over the years, which include but aren’t limited to the MTBE scandal, which cost California taxpayers millions of dollars, but also that of Hien Tran, a fraudulent scientist who formed the results of “testing” he compiled on the results of diesel exhaust emissions and other “harmful” toxins. These two blunders alone, which have and will cost taxpayers (i.e. voters) BILLIONS of dollars and create unnecessary expenses for the state of California, force engine makers to create less fuel efficient diesel engines, and put the economy into a worse condition then it is in presently. One of the laws currently in effect from what I understand, AB 32, is causing many truckers, construction companies, and virtually anyone who is associated in some way with a diesel engine, which is everyone, yourself included, to be hurt in some way by this useless law. Many industries will be severely hindered by the costs of retrofitting older models or buying new diesel engines. While a good amount of effort has been made so far, we cannot stop until CARB and AB 32 is abolished. This letter and your response, if any is provided, will be posted on KILLCARB.ORG, where voters will see this and know that silence or negativity towards our movement will not be supported at election time. Should you decide to support our efforts, anyone who reads this and views the little green thumbs up beside your name will know to vote for you come the time for reelection. Thank you for your time Sincerely,
