Apparently the only way around the Idling assault is not to Idle however there are few choices as California has made such assaulting laws yet as well HAS FAILED IN ITS ENTIRETY to provide/offer such choices apart from Idling.
Very few locations for Truck parking have ANYTHING to offer apart from the scattered Motels/Hotels and the few IdleAire facilities. I have met few Drivers that can afford Motels on a daily basis, when at all. California requires adherence to its ANTI-TRUCKING rules/laws yet does not as stated offer any alternatives other than just not Driving a Truck in the State which is impossible/impractical for the in state operational Trucking businesses.

California is sadly LEADING THE WAY AGAINST TRUCKING as so many States are simply following suit.
California cares not for Animals in Trucks anymore than for WE THE PEOPLE. They (c.a.r.b. and State government) only care about themselves and their delusions of grandeur and obviously will stomp upon anyone contesting their blind directives.

The exception for Animals has been eliminated as well as ALL OTHER EXCEPTIONS (in many other states too) apart from Mechanical issues as stated in the allowances at this site:
